Nutritional consultation

The nutritional advice is useful for people, who are not active in sports, for sportsmen and women at any non-professional level as well as for top athletes.

Depending on the indication, the nutritional consultation comprises three to seven individual consultation appointments and is conducted by a VDOe certified ecotrophologist according to the guidelines of the German Society for Nutrition (DGE).

Literature emphasises the efficiency of an indivudally adapted and balanced diet to prevent diseases [4]. The positive effects of a healthy diet on a person`s health and well-being and thus on the general performance of the individual are therefore undisputed.

According to the data of the National Consumption Study II, 45.5% of men and 29.5% of women in Germany are slightly to moderately overweight (BMI 25-29.9). The percentage of obese persons (very overweight, BMI >30) is 20.5% (men) and 21.1% (women). In total, 66% of adult men and 51% of adult women in Germany are considered overweight or obese [1].

The individual nutritional consultation includes the following services:

  • Anamnesis consultation
  • Registration of the nutritional situation, BMI, body fat, waist circumference
  • Evaluation of the dietary protocol
  • Calculation of calorie consumption and necessary nutrient composition
  • Design of a personally adapted nutrition plan
  • Diagnosis-specific tips for practical implementation taking into account individual preferences and circumstances of life

Many chronic diseases are nutrition-dependent. These include obesity, diseases of the cardiovascular system, some malignant neoplasms, diseases of the digestive system as well as endocrine diseases and metabolic disorders (above all type 2 diabetes mellitus) [2]. In addition, allergies, food intolerances and deficiency diseases can also be influenced by diet [3].

The consultation we offer is recognised by health insurance companies and is subsidised accordingly.
